My Favorite Fall Looks...

Fall is my favorite time of the year because of the colors and the fashion. I am more of a vintage girl so I am for finding things that are cost effective but still really stylish. I have a love for dark colors in the fall such brown, burnt orange, and dark greys. Here are a few items that I really like:

What makes a designer?

I recently sat back and wondered what makes someone considered a designer? There are so many things that make me look at others work as art. I think I've become more aware of the beauty of others work since I started selling my designs online. It's true that I have long admired the small businesses that took the leap and started selling online but I really didn't take the time to really look as I should at the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.

Since opening Artystik Ego online, I have spent countless hours on so many things besides designing. I have been working on marketing, packaging, thinking bigger than what I originally thought. I love the fact that I am discovering that all the hard work of being a designer is so much more than designing.

What makes a designer is the little details that make your business stand out. It is remembering that your customers are more than just people who are contributing to growing your business, they are also the backbone of what makes our businesses thrive. We should always go above and beyond to make sure that they are given the best service and product. What makes a designer is the midnight hours of keeping the designs fresh and new, the dedication into making our customers feel one of a kind (because they are) and waking up everyday with new motivation to keep doing what we love.

My definition of designer is my own observation of the lifestyle, the hard work, sacrifices and dedication behind the finished product. I believe the more we learn to focus on what is most important to us as designers we will continue to flourish.

New Art Jewelry Collection

Today added to the store is the new art jewelry collection. It is my ode to art and all the things that are colorful! There is a touch of intricate colors that represent fall but there is a huge splash of bright, vibrant colors to sustain us until the next sign of Spring. Check out the newest ones today and check back throughout the day for new additions. In the coming weeks there will be earrings and bracelets being added as well.

Introduction to Artystik Ego

I have been wanting to start a blog for awhile but trying to find the time has been the biggest issue getting started. So here's the story. Artystik Ego was a dream and it was something that I desired to do for years. I have been creating designs for over 12 years in an effort to use my creativity. I have always been drawn to art, everything about it has formed my love for it and the more I learned the more I was drawn to different types of art. I loved oil paintings, drawings, sculptures and so much more.

With my jewelry I want it to resemble art. I know that the jewelry industry is pretty saturated but my goal is to stand out and as time goes on each year I hope to introduce new elements of design. I am a risk taker in experimenting with different materials and things that would be considered unconventional but if it turns into something beautiful it's all worth it!

This is just the beginning of what I intend to do in creating new and fresh designs. My plans are to venture into other areas of design with accessories. As Artystik Ego continues to grow, I hope to see you all on the journey. There are so many great things already ahead and I can't wait to share with you all! Have a great weekend!
